Founder of gribot
Guy Corbaz is the founder of gribot. It is an association of people developing an open source robotics platform. It can be adapted to different types of tools according to needs. Guy and his team produce open source plans, so that anyone can build and maintain a gribot robot, but at a fraction of the price of what you can find on the market. He believes that such a platform can intensify the transition to sustainable agriculture. It will also help to maintain high productivity. It will also help to relieve the farmer of repetitive and strenuous tasks.
Therefore he founded gribot in 2017 to create an open source robotics platform. Its aim is to accelerate the transition to sustainable agriculture. The open environment around the gribot platform should stimulate creativity. And it must also allow the development, production and distribution of gribot.
Through his dual training as a farmer at the Ecole d’Horticulture Lullier and then as an engineer at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), as well as his sensitivity to sustainable development, Guy is able to implement technological solutions adapted to a new sustainable agricultural world.
